Philo Clarke Calhoun (1889-1964) was an anti-trust attorney. He attended Williams College and graduated in 1910. He then attended Harvard Law School, graduating in 1913. He served in the Marine Corps in World War I and after aided in the establishment of the Bridgeport American Legion Post. He was an active member of the Fairfield Democratic Town Committee and the Democratic State Central Committee. He and Judge Thurman Arnold were known as some of the New Deal's "Trustbusters."
